If you're the kind of gamer who delights in blowing the heck out of everything in sight then you might to check out Tankzors Pro.
Based around the classic NES game Battle City, Tankzors sees you try to defeat the enemy militia by getting behind the wheel of a tank and crushing any bad guys you come across. There are more than 70 different missions to complete, besides all theextra levels you can download over the Internet.
Tankzors Pro is good fun to play and manages to combine elements of strategy and skill in a manner that is still easy to play. The missions are varied and there are dozens of different power-ups and special attacks available through the game's workshop feature. Tankzors does get pretty tricky after a while, so you have to learn what weapons to spend your money on in order to pass a specific level.
On the negative side, Tankzors isn't the most graphically advanced game you'll see and is more like its NES forefather than the lavish 3D war games of today. The game menu screens in Tankzors are a bit of a pain to navigate. The text is very small and often you need to scroll right to the bottom of a long page in order to progress to the next screen.
This Pro version adds a raft of new features to the basic edition of Tankzors. As well as an extra 30 levels, there are 35 new weapons, enhanced graphics (though still not brilliant), more tanks and a higher AI of enemy tanks.
If you can gloss over the cosmetic failings of the game, there's fun to be had with Tankzors.
